How YOU can have out of body experience and travel through time; but what is the risk?

Todd Acamesis claims anyone can travel out of their body.

One man claims they are and he has been doing since a near-death experience at the age of five.

What’s more Todd Acamesis says the soul can leave the body and go on a journey even while you are alive, and anyone can do it.

The Canadian, 47, claims he has been having out of body experiences” (OBEs) for 42 years, since a near death experience at the age of five.

The jury is still out on whether an OBE is real or just perceived, but apparently we can ALL do it relatively easily, according to Mr Acamesis.

Mr Acamesis revealed how to do it at the 27th Glastonbury Symposium, an annual conference dedicated to the paranormal, conspiracy theories, alternative thought, and new age philosophies, held in the Somerset town.

Mr Acamesis told the symposium he now teaches out of body exploration to those who wish to experience the phenomenon.

An audience member asked him how it is done.

The man said: “I have done it by accident a couple of times, but what is the technique to do it step by step?”

Mr Acamesis said: “Like with anything in life the distinct thing is to be clear about what you want to do.”

The Canadian believes in a form of OBE called astral projection – said to be a willfull separation of the “soul” or “astral body” from the physical body, which is the capable of traveling through the universe.

Mr Acamesis added: “If you know the purpose of why you are doing it and the ritual side – astral projection – from my own perspective we are dealing with metaphors and what explains reality.

“I am no longer looking at physical reality. It is not just out of body, we are consciousness.

“We are very grounded in this reality, but we are not exclusively physical bodies.”

Mr Acamesis said he had experienced events such as leaving his body, looking back and viewing it, and other times, leaving the body and looking back on an empty sofa, as if his body was gone.

He said he had explored buildings through “remote viewing” and things that should have been here were not, and in some case items that should not have been there had appeared.

He also claimed to have the experience of walking through walls.

Mr Acamesis explained these anomalies were because we are dealing with a “multi-dimensional reality.”

Referring to the time his body was not there, he said: “A voice said it’s OK, your body is on another level of reality beyond our reality.”

An OBE is the feeling that you are floating outside or above your body.

Some experiencers even claim to have seen their own body externally while experiencing an OBE.

It is also said to be what happens during a near death experience when believers think the “soul” is about to leave the body for good.

However, Dutch national Marja De Vries urged caution in experimenting with astral projection just for curiosity.

Like with anything in life the distinct thing is to be clear about what you want to do.

She says she “gained insights into non-physical realities” from indigenous cultures, and heeded caution for people just to try to “leave their bodies” out of curiosity.

She told the audience: “There is the physical body, the non physical body in time and space, and the non physical beyond time and space.”

She claimed to have left her physical body and then subsequently left the arena of time and space as well.

She said: “I went out of both and it was a very impressive experience.

“The intention to do it has to be a pure intention, but it is possible to learn how to switch from one to the other.

“I would advise not to do it because of curiosity, but do it because you have got a pure intention to serve the wellbeing of everyone.

“If it is just curiosity there can be a danger in doing it. I want to give you that as a warning.”

Yet, Mr Acamesis dismissed her warning, and went on to suggest that dreaming was a form of astral projection.

He said: “We do it every night, it is very safe and I encourage people to experiment.”

There is, of course, no scientific evidence to prove the existence of a soul or consciousness that is separate to brain activity experienced in a living human body, or one that can leave a living body or live on after death.

Claims of astral projection remain in the paranormal and pseudoscientific arenas.
